michael wildes participates in panel on immigration reform

On March 21, 2013 Managing Partner Michael Wildes
returned to his alma mater, The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (class of
1989), where he is also an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Business
Immigration, to partake in a lunchtime seminar that was organized by Cardozo
F.I.R.E. (For Immigrant Rights and Equality).  

Over a pasta lunch, Mr. Wildes, along with his colleagues, gave a
spirited discussion on the topic of Comprehensive Immigration Reform.  The panelists provided a brief overview of
the current immigration reform talks, explaining the Path to Citizenship
(long-term goal/plans amnesty proposals), Legal Immigration (challenges with
current family petitions),  Employment
(backlog of employment petitions and EB-5 and H1-B visa programs), and Civil
right Issues (secure communities/mandatory detention)  as well as details of the various reform
proposals that are currently on the table.
