Michael Wildes attended the first-ever joint concert between Israeli singing superstar Gad Elbaz, who obtained his O-1 extraordinary ability visa through Wildes & Weinberg, and international music sensation Alex Clare on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Master Theater in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Throughout the concert, these talented artists performed separately and together in both English and Hebrew.
Gad Elbaz achieved international success early on in his career. From the time he was a youngster, he was composing his own material and appeared on stage with his father, Benny Elbaz, also a popular Israeli singer. Gad has recorded several albums, both in Hebrew and in English, and is known for capturing the ear of both the observant and secular listener. He hopes that his music can help bridge the gap between different people’s viewpoints during their lives.
Alex Clare is a Jewish British singer and songwriter with a wide crossover appeal. His biggest hit from the album, “Too Close“, hit in the top 10 on the UK singles chart and the US Billboard Hot 100. Alex became an observant orthodox Jew, and as a Baal Teshuvah, he has integrated Jewish themes into his music. His latest release, “Three Days at Greenmount,” is a a soul-searching acoustic album recorded in Leeds, England.
Producer/ Director Zvika Bornstein called this the “The Concert of the Year.” Comedian Modi hosted the evening and the audience was entertained throughout the evening by guest performers including Hassidic artist Chaim Shlomo Maysz, and singers Dovid Pearlman and Shea Rubinstein.
