The firm of Wildes & Weinberg, P.C. is pleased to announce that despite the Presidential Proclamation of March 11, 2020 suspending the entry of certain foreign nationals, our firm has been successful in obtaining approvals of National Interest Waiver Applications on behalf of our clients.
The Presidential Proclamation issued by President Trump on March 11, 2020 barred entry into the United State of all persons who were physically present within 26 European nations during the 14 day period preceding their attempted entry into the U.S. This Suspension of Entry does not apply to spouses of U.S. citizens and other limited classes. Inasmuch as this prohibition is not absolute, we have been successful in gaining waivers for individuals in L-1, H-1 and O-1 status by showing that their entry was in the National Interest. These waivers can be obtained through Custom and Border Patrol (CBP) expeditiously within 24 hours if meaningful presentations are made. We are proud of our accomplishments and have executed these applications on behalf of corporate executives, persons in the fashion industry and many other individuals.
Wildes & Weinberg, P.C. was founded in 1960 by Leon Wildes, whose best-known accomplishment was his successful representation of John Lennon in his widely publicized deportation proceedings (the circumstances of which have inspired several films and documentaries).
