uscis issues refunds for form i-131f parole-in-place applications

Wildes & Weinberg is pleased to confirm that USCIS has started to issue refunds for the government filing fees for Applications for Parole-in-Place (Form I-131F) that were filed based on the Biden Administration’s “Keeping Families Together” program. Approximately 94,000 people applied for this program, all of whom were required to pay a $580 application fee. The program was struck down by a Federal Judge in Texas a few months after it launched. USCIS generally does not issue refunds, making this exceptional. USCIS is refunding almost $55 million to those applicants who will no longer be able to benefit from the program.
