Joshua Mitson joined Wildes & Weinberg in 2022 as an Associate Attorney in our Litigation Department. He holds a First-Class Honours B.A. in Politics and International Relations from the University of Westminster in London, England, and graduated from the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where he served as a Student Attorney in Sturm’s revered Civil Rights Clinic and attended on a Dean’s Scholarship.
Joshua specializes in “crimmigration” cases – helping immigrant clients with criminal records navigate the U.S. immigration system. He joined the firm as a litigator and has represented numerous non-citizens before various detained and non-detained immigration courts all over the country, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Joshua has tremendous experience in everything related to immigration litigation, including applications for asylums, waivers, cancellation of removal, appeals, Writs of Mandamus, Administrative Procedure Act violations, and more. He also advises clients on family-based applications, adjustment of status, and naturalization, and often represents individuals and families in front of administrative agencies and courts throughout the country.
