Amy Eisen Bakst holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan (2007) and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (2011). She is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey. Amy is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Hebrew. As the daughter of two immigrants from Colombia, Amy has always been passionate about helping individuals seeking opportunity in the U.S.
Amy held many immigration law internships throughout law school. She interned with the U.S. Attorney EDNY Division Immigration Unit, Legal Aid Society Immigration Law Unit, Brooklyn Law School Safe Harbor Project and The Door. The best moments of Amy’s career have been when she succeeded in obtaining Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for a young boy from Honduras and Asylum for an Egyptian woman.
Amy is an Associate Attorney in the Business & Employment Immigration Group. Her practice concentrates on representing clients in various industries on all aspects of U.S. immigration, including nonimmigrant visas, permanent residence, and citizenship.
Amy is married to Harrie Bakst, Partner of Weinstein Carnegie Philanthropic Group.
