Managing Partner Michael Wildes and his team are pleased to announce another successful Political Asylum Matter.
This matter involved “a gentleman who established an important NGO in Burundi and who was forced to flee in the face of false political accusations, threats, and sexual violence perpetuated upon his family by the Burundi military. After waiting over four years for an asylum interview, he hired our office to obtain an interview. We successfully requested an expedited hearing with the Newark asylum office on the grounds that his wife is in danger in Burundi and is currently living as a displaced refugee in Uganda. We received an interview within two months of our request, and an approval about two months after that. We are now working to reunite him with his wife and son in the United States, where they hope to start anew, unafraid of politically-motivated violence. We are honored and humbled to welcome him into our American family.” Michael Wildes, Managing Partner.
