The Supreme Court decision on Arizona’s immigration law means that you can still be stopped by the police but only if they have a valid reason to stop you.
The Court decided that you cannot be stopped by the police in Arizona solely because they think you are here illegally.
How this will be put in to practice is yet to be seen. Will the police find excuses to stop people who they think are here illegally? Time will tell.
However, we can be sure that other states will not follow Arizona’s lead and try to pass similar laws since so many of the components of this law was struck down as unconstitutional.
