michael wildes leads community discussion on deferred action

On October 24th, Former Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes, Managing Partner of Wildes and Weinberg P.C.,  led a community discussion on deferred action at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Bergenfield, New Jersey. The Secretary of Homeland Security announced on June 15, 2012, that individuals who came to the United States as children and meet several key guidelines may request consideration of deferred action for a period of two years, subject to renewal, and would then be eligible for work authorization.

The jurisprudence of Deferred Action evolved out of Michael’s father’s (Leon Wildes) famed representation of former Beatle John Lennon: both helped discover this program in the 1970s.
