Managing Partner Michael Wilde sonce again volunteered his time to present a workshop on U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law to the international students at CUNY, The College of Staten Island.
The theme of the lecture, which was organized by the college’s SEVIS Coordinator/Foreign Student/Scholar Advisor, DSO Inga Mezale, was “Life After Practical Training”. The F-1 and J-1 student population declared the lecture to be extremely helpful especially because it was packed with important information and provided clear guidelines for remaining in the U.S. after their visas expired. The discussion centered around how to obtain the H-1B, O, and L-1 visas as well as the criteria for applying for lawful permanent resident status.
Michael Wildes is very sensitive to the needs of international students as he has presented this type of workshop in many other noteworthy institutions, such as New York University, Yeshiva University, and Yale University. Further, Mr. Wildes is an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School.
The firm of Wildes & Weinberg believes strongly in community outreach and offers these types of lectures free of charge. To schedule an immigration presentation for your institution or organization, please contact Michael at michael@wildeslaw.com.
