August 21, 2012: Wildes & Weinberg P.C. announced today that Managing Partner, Michael Wildes, secured Green Card approval for internationally renowned, multi-platinum music artist Craig David. Wildes gained approval for David through a visa designated for individuals who qualify as “Aliens of Extraordinary Ability.” As a result of Wildes’ work, Craig David will be able to permanently reside in the United States to continue working on his upcoming album.
Often difficult to obtain, the ‘Extraordinary Ability’ (EB-1) Green Card category is meant for foreign-born individuals who have reached the pinnacles of their fields. Wildes’ firm had previously secured an approval of a temporary O-1 visa for Craig David based on his outstanding musical talents.
Recently, Craig David has been working with world renowned producers and songwriters such as Erick Morillo (International DJ, music producer and owner of the Subliminal Record label, has worked with notable artists such as P. Diddy), Jim Beanz (prominent producer and songwriter who has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Nelly Furtado, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, and Hilary Duff), and Fraser T. Smith (most recently recognized for his work with Adele on her album that swept the 2012 Grammy awards).
Born in Southampton, England, the Grammy-nominated artist and Ivor Novello winner (U.K.’s version of the Grammy) has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, including his album Born to Do It, which went platinum 23 times over.
